Tempe police increase use of technology in preventing crime

Tempe police are using software to track crimes and criminal trends as well as predict areas that are likely to experience crimes. While Gov. Doug Ducey vetoed a bill to support what’s known as predictive policing, Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery says it’s something more law enforcement agencies should be looking at.
