New technique allows valve replacement without open-heart surgery

A surgical technique offered by a Valley hospital is allowing those needing artificial valves to get them without open-heart surgery. It’s called transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and it uses a catheter inserted into an artery to deliver the valve directly into the heart.
