Valley gets a taste of Canada with curling club

TEMPE – It involves ice, brooms and rocks. It’s a sport you wouldn’t expect to find in the desert, but curling is building momentum. Formed by Canadian transplants, the Coyotes Curling Club has been practicing at the Ice Den since 2003, until members decided to put together money to form their own curling facility.
