KINGMAN – For a while, state legislator Doris Goodale didn’t know her daughter Stephanie was addicted to prescription painkillers, medication which she received from her doctor. Pills can create a gateway to harsher drugs like heroin. Since September 2012, at least 28 medical professionals in Arizona have been reprimanded by the state board for over-prescribing narcotics.
