Wildfires not just for forests: Wetter winter exacerbates risk in desert

A wetter-than-normal winter and early hot temperatures have boosted the wildfire risk in the desert bordering Valley neighborhoods. Fire officials say a big wildfire hits about every 10 years and that the last one near the Valley was the Cave Creek Complex Fire of 2005.
