PHOENIX – Besides rehabilitating injured wild animals, with an eye toward returning them to the wild, the Adobe Mountain Wildlife Rehabilitation Center also provides education to the humans who were invited to visit the Phoenix center recently. Every year, the center helps thousands of animals – from birds to raccoons to bobcats – return to the wild, boasting an 88 percent release rate. Volunteers say caring for the animals is rewarding, and that there is something for everyone to see at the center.
