PHOENIX – It’s one of Phoenix’s oldest shopping centers, with many awards under its belt for being a world-class desination. But since its opening 60 years ago, Uptown Plaza at Camelback and Central has been hidden beneath stucco and paint. A development company is taking on the task of uncovering the original aesthetic of the center, in order to restore it to its mid-century look.
