PHOENIX – Cronkite News projects that Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Prescott, will win his re-election bid against Democratic and Libertarian contenders.

Gosar is running against Democrat Mike Weisser and Libertarian Chris Rike.

Gosar has represented Arizona’s 4th Congressional District since 2013. Previously, he represented Arizona’s 1st Congressional District.

Gosar serves on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and the House Natural Resources Committee.

During his tenure in Congress, Gosar has focused on bringing jobs to his district, reforming health care and stopping government spending, according to his website.

Weisser is a middle school teacher and considers himself a political activist, according to his website. Rike ran on a platform of making the government smaller and the rights of individuals, according to azvoterguide.com.
