WASHINGTON – Latino voters do not want to be taken for granted. That’s the message advocacy groups delivered to Democrats this week after the party suffered heavy losses to Republicans, who now control both houses of Congress. The Democratic losses were due in part to disenchanted Hispanic voters who did not turn up at the polls, the advocates said. They went on to say that Latino voters can make a difference in future elections, but that both parties need to appeal to them.
