TUCSON – Pima Community College officials considering an increase in the amount of space they lease at Tucson International Airport with an eye toward expanding the school’s aviation technician training program. The Pima Community College Aviation Technology Center would grow from the current 4.7 acres to 6.3 acres at the airport. In the long term, the expansion could allow for the addition of a flight school, but right now officials say they need the extra room for training to fill the growing demand for aviation mechanics.
