Bicycle barriers in Tempe could keep cars and cyclists from clashing

TEMPE — Tempe has one of the highest percentages of bicycle commuters in the country, but with more bikes come more opportunities for bicycle-car collsions. City officials said they are looking at several measures to make the roads safer for both bicyclists and motorists, Tempe City Councilman Kolby Granville said one option is physical barriers to help keep cars and bikes in their own lanes.
