West-MEC school district asks for $74.9 million bond to fund new campuses

Western Maricopa Education Center (West-MEC), a public school district focused on career and technical training, is asking for a $74.9 million bond to build new campuses in Deer Valley, Buckeye, Surprise and Glendale. The bond would be funded by a $4 increase in property taxes on home and business owners in the West Valley. Cronkite News reporter Tiffany Martin has the story.
