The proposed Interstate 11 would serve as a trucking and tourism link between Phoenix and Las Vegas. Arizona Governor Jan Brewer says the new highway will foster economic activity west of Phoenix. Although the plans for I-11 are still in the early stages, the town of Wickenburg is hoping the state's plans won't take away the traffic for their local businesses.
