The Phoenix Police Department held a breakfast at the US Airways Center on Tuesday morning to thank the 150 reserve officers who are volunteering their time to help the city. Cronkite News reporter Brenda Yanez says the Phoenix police also recruited new volunteers to fill the many vacant spots in the department due to retirees and budget cuts.
