Transit riders see long travel time, short schedules in Phoenix metro area


For many low-income transit users, being able to get around means more job opportunities. A survey prepared by Valley Metro indicates that over one-third of the average rider’s trip either starts or ends at work. A large percentage of riders said they would have no other means of making it to their destinations without public transportation. Though the transit system helps many people survive, it can also be very limiting. Emily Johnson takes us on a ride.
