Light rail expansion could be key to Mesa’s downtown renewal

An expansion will bring a light rail station to a long-abandoned neighborhood that once housed British pilots during World War II in Mesa. The city hopes to build an affordable housing project on the site which will be the cornerstone of efforts to restore its downtown area. Cronkite News reporter Andy Ellison has the story.
