Legislature weighing merits of state border guard

The state Legislature is considering a bill creating a state guard to safeguard the border and respond to natural disasters. The measure has been passed through committee and would grant $1.4 million to building the guard. Although the governor has endorsed the proposal, Yuma County's sheriff is raising concerns.
