Bill proposed to protect animals from convicted animal abusers

A proposed bill requires animal abusers to register on a public database. Much like a sexual offender site, this database would act as a warning system to protect Arizona animals. However, the bill wouldn't require animal organizations to check the database before adopting nor would it prevent abusers from owning another animal. Cronkite News reporter Joe Nemec has more on this story.
